Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of WealthIQ ("the App", "we", "our", or "us"), a personal wealth management application. By registering for or using the App, you agree to be bound by these Terms.

1. Acceptance of Terms

By creating an account and using the App, you confirm that you are at least 18 years of age, have the legal capacity to enter into a binding agreement, and agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy.

2. Nature of the Service

WealthIQ is a personal financial tracking and management tool. The App allows you to record, organise, and analyse your personal financial data including assets across multiple currencies, income and expenses with cashflow analysis, rental property management, liquidity breakdown, and zakat calculations with full history and print-ready reports.

The App does NOT provide financial advice, investment recommendations, or any form of regulated financial services. All AI-generated analysis and insights are informational only and do not constitute professional financial, tax, legal, or investment advice. You should always consult a licensed financial adviser, tax professional, or legal counsel before making any financial decisions.

3. User Accounts

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials. You must not share your account with others. You are solely responsible for all activities that occur under your account. You must notify us immediately if you suspect unauthorised access to your account.

4. Acceptable Use

You agree to use the App only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms. You must not:

  • Store or transmit any false, misleading, or fraudulent information
  • Attempt to gain unauthorised access to any part of the App or its systems
  • Use the App in any way that may damage, disable, or impair our servers or networks
  • Engage in any activity that violates any applicable law or regulation of Malaysia

5. Intellectual Property

All content, features, and functionality of the App - including but not limited to software, text, graphics, and design - are owned by or licensed to us and are protected under applicable intellectual property laws. You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use the App solely for your personal, non-commercial purposes.

6. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by Malaysian law, we shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of or inability to use the App, including but not limited to loss of data, loss of profits, or financial loss, even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages.

Our total liability to you for any claim arising from use of the App shall not exceed the amount you paid to us, if any, in the twelve (12) months preceding the claim.

7. Disclaimer of Warranties

The App is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis without warranties of any kind, either express or implied, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement.

We do not warrant that the App will be error-free, uninterrupted, secure, or free of vulnerabilities. You acknowledge that your use of the App is at your sole risk.

8. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless the App and its operators from any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, or expenses (including legal fees) arising out of or in connection with your use of the App, violation of these Terms, or infringement of any third-party rights.

9. Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account at any time, with or without cause or notice, if we believe you have violated these Terms. You may delete your account at any time through the App settings. Upon termination, your access to the App will cease and your data will be deleted in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

10. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Malaysia. Any dispute arising out of or in connection with these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Malaysia. We encourage you to contact us first to resolve any dispute amicably before pursuing legal action.

11. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. Material changes will be notified to you via the App or by email. Your continued use of the App after such changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated Terms.
